hissing cold air intake

i juss noticed a little hissing noise coming from the cold air intake when i give it a little gas..is this normal?

Yes it's normal, if you upgrade the tb it's not as noticeable

The K&N and ICEMAN intakes both do it. I personally think it sounds cool; people ask if I'm boostin because of it though lol. Ever since I shaved my throttle plate screws and ported my TB it makes a 'ting' sound right before the whistle when you shift gears and roll into the throttle.

My K&N does it too, i tend to give just as much gas as needed to get the hiss actually, it sounds cool

ya i have a ICEMAN for my car and it sounds beast! it sounds turbocharged! and when i tap the gas it whistles it's so sweet!

I don't know how many times I've been in a gas station and someone will ask if it has a turbo. I like the sound, it's kind of unique. lol

FWIW, my sound didn't go away when I installed the MPx TB. I'd almost say it got a bit louder but again, that didn't bother me.

my ebay intake on my ACR makes the sound. But now that I have a SRT4 I do not think it sounds at all like a lil boost or turbo. But it is kinda cool to have. But ive learned by hydrolock lesson and am gonna cut the tubing and run short ram since our intakes are more for looks than gains anyways.

I have to agree, but I get asked a lot if I have a turbo, from ppl that have boosted cars. I don't think it sounds even close to spool up. A little whistle is all. But then, I have only heard it from the driver's seat.

my aem with mpx tb makes that sound as well, it hisses when i step on it and right when i shift it makes a psh sound, not like a turbo but different.
