Trunk lid dilema...

Post by SILVER-ES » Sun Nov 06, 2005 5:21 pm

I have come across a great oppurtunity but I'm just unsure if I want to take it or not.

I currently have a 01 r/t spoiler on my car. There is a local srt owner with a CBD CF trunk lid that is willing to trade for my trunk lid and spoiler. I've always wanted a CF trunk lid but never had the money to spend on it so this seems like a perfect oppurtunity for me. However now that I'm presented with it I don't know if I can give up my 01 r/t spoiler.

Basically I'm just looking for opinions of what would look better and I'd also like to know what everyone has heard about the CBD trunk lid. Thanks.

youve got a cf hood so why not? id do it

personally im starting to like the '01 RT wing less and less, though when i photoshop my car back to back with and without a wing, the car looks a bit better without a wing. i dont know maybe its the sideskirts

IMO, get the trunk. you have a cf hood, so the trunk would match nicely. i wouldnt think more than 2 seconds about it hahah. acutally, not even that long.

but seriously, id be all over it if i were you. but im also a bit biased because i love the de-winged look on neons, im so glad i took mine off.

I claimed it. I'll be sure to post up pictures once the trade takes place.

Done. Traded with him tonight. I'll be sure to take some pictures when the weather is nice enough to allow me to wash the car.

He's very happy with it.

As the other guy was driving off with his old trunk lid and spoiler, he looked at me and said, "I don't even know why I was second guessing this."

It looks great on his car, and fits perfectly.

I absolutely love it. No second guessing myself at all. I keep staring out the window to see it. :D

The fit is perfect with the trunk springs removed. Only had minor troubles with bolting my alaram trunk pin back in but it's on there now just fine.

Not sure how I forgot it, but the worst part is the bump/deep bruise on my back/spine from the stock trunk lid. I was taking off the springs and not thinking. When the second spring came out I was leaning into the trunk and the lid fell on my back, hurt like hell. Now it's very sore. Guess the old trunk lid wasn't happy with me.
