Hello Josh,
I just wanted to give you an explanation of why this has been taking so long.
OK, so normally, the seat covers have taken 8-12 weeks from Japan for custom orders. This has taken a bit longer since the beginning of 2010 since Clazzio moved facilities in Japan to accommodate volume (about 12-14 weeks). So this would have meant they would have been in our last shipment, but alas, they were not. The representative at 11i-USA (Clazzio's controlling company) had told me that they would be in the last shipment, but he was wrong. OK, so that was the first delay.
Now we are at this stage where they were on the boat coming over, like I last told you. Unfortunately, US customs has now stepped up inspections and holds shipments for longer than normal. They used to only inspect the shipments for a few days, but now it seems like it takes a week and a half. Again, another delay.
So here is the status of the seat covers: they are stateside, but being held by US customs. Clazzio/11i-USA estimates that they will ship next week. Again, I'm sorry for the delay, but I can only go on what Clazzio tells me in their estimates. No orders have ever taken this long.
Thank you,
Spencer Vliegen

On another note, scraped my front bumper for the first time ever today on the way out of work, oh, and yesterday backed into my sidewalk and caused a few gashes in the rear bumper. Oh well, shit happens, can't say I honestly give a damn about it

So...who wants to get a bet in on what's inside the box? We can be fairly certain it won't be seat covers. The stakes are high. Place your bets!
I'm going to say...a very large marshmallow. Not to be confused with the Marshmallow Man, as this will be a tasty (and inanimate) treat not bent on slow, lumbered destruction.

Alright, so I decided to stop being a lazy fuck with my car and -finally- paint my interior.
$20.81 later, I had all the supplies I needed for my adventure.
I pulled out the bezel around the shifter, gave it a quick pass with the steel wool and started painting. That was going to just be my "test" piece, but then I got bored and went and grabbed the knobs/center bezel.
After cutting the perfect shape around the little light on the knobs, I realized that they can just be popped out.... Fucking shit. So! Took off what taping I had done, and tossed them on the crate with my shifter bezel.
First few coats:

At some point there, I fucked up one of the knobs and glue-goned the paint off. (fuck sanding) and re-did it.
Then, began the masking of the center bezel.

Took the steel wool to any of the really bad imperfections. There were a few gouges from when I ripped off the fake CF shit.

More coats on the knobs/shifter bezel:

First coat on the center bezel:

Gonna have to wet-sand that first layer... dunno where I fucked up in prep, but it is not happy to say the least.
While waiting for it all to dry, I figured it was time to do my window switch bezels as well.

Oh, and found out why glass doctor was so quick to switch my window:

Bastards...
But, passenger side bezel out:

Taking the fake CF off those too:

THEN! The fucking weather decides to be a huge dick and start to fucking rain.

So, now my shits inside drying:

Teach me to be productive and try to finally do something I'd been planning for 5 months. There's wasn't even a fucking CHANCE of rain today.
Oh well, now I'm left with prepping the window switches, maybe remove the rear door ones as well to do (probably wont) oh, and wet-sand the HVAC bezel.

I hate weather for that exact reason. Up until this morning it had no chance of rain in the forecast. I woke up and it was raining and has rained all day.

Well, thankfully that short stint was all the rain we got, so everything is now painted and installed back in the car!
No pictures, because well, it's dark out now, and I refuse to use the flash on my camera.
I for one, am glad how it turned out.

HOLYFUCK STICKERS! (i really love stickers)
My awesomesauce Neon EMT sticker:

Also, installed pictures of my painted shit. This is how you do interior accents:

Although, it's not quite perfect. I apparently suck at masking:

Still, good enough:

Front door:

Rear door:

Shifter bezel:

For the amount of work/time involved, I'm happy. I may one day re-do the center bezel, but for now, it's damn good enough.
Tomorrow, seat covers. (Hopefully)
