BEES!!!

Post by INVUJerry » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:07 pm

For some reason, there are a lot of bees in my mom's yard already this year. I wanted to work on my 98, but I am scared of bees. I dropped 2 wheels off next to the car and there were probably 6 bees by me. One ended up chasing me all the way back to my NYG, where I promptly almost launched it into my 05.

wd-40 or pb blaster kills them pretty well, every neon owner should have some handy.

I had a wasp in the upstairs loft of my house when I was getting ready for bed last Wednesday around 4 a.m. It wouldn't land anywhere long enough for me to swat it so I barricaded myself into my bedroom by stuffing a bath towel under the door. I was on this website for over an hour when suddenly the darn thing flew up from under my desk and between my legs! :runaway: I'm pretty sure that I woke the neighbors screaming like a little girl :yell: . Guess that it had been in my bedroom the whole time. LOL They get into my house somehow about this time every year and I swell up big time when stung.

Except for their vital pollenation, I don't like bees either.

I don't think so.
No bees = no plants = no live on this planet.

Albert Einstein once wrote that "if the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."

That is the Law of Interdependence.

So just let them do their job and mostly they will not harm you. Bees are not aggressive!

I'd never begin to argue the importance of bees in this world, but they have bred European bees and South African bees and accidentally created super-fucking-turbo-killer-rip-your-face-off bees that have migrated to even the Northern United States.

They WILL chase you, and have killed quite a bit of people.

Thank god bees are afraid of guns.

Bees *shiver*

I've only been stung once and I wouldn't like a repeat. I tried to be brave but that hurt to all heck. He got me right at a nerve cluster, I gather.

Bees are not bad creatures, it are wasps that I hate.

According to research here in Holland and I believe other European countries as well, the bee population slowly dies out.

Bee populations are dying out here in the States also. It is either pesticides/fungicides, or cell tower signals that are amongst the theories.

There are a few peeps getting nervous. For basically the reasons Jenni stated.

Here, I'll provide a pic.

Image

The red line was my walking path, the teal line was my driving path. The cars aren't as they actually are, but where they are parked right now. Green square is where the NYG was parked at the time.

I think the plan right now is to work on the car in the evening/night, until I can figure something out.
