Alright so I am going to be fixing my rusted pinch welds.. and was wondering is there any other designated mounting points on our cars? I dont have the owners manual to find out..

I used to lift my old honda by the arms.. but that wasnt the best thing for the car.. lol

I think lifting/jack stand points would be a better description of what you want to know.

If I don't need to go super high, I will pull the center out of the jack stand and set the vertical LCA bolt head into the pocket. Jacking it up may be another matter if you don't want to use the pinch weld anymore. There is always getting a sheet of 6" x 6" x 3/16" metal and placing it just inward of the pinch weld jacking point so the load is spread out on that part of the frame. I can't describe it too well, but not the floor pan but where the firewall comes down to the floor pan. That part is fairly sturdy. For the rear half, well, I don't have any ideas other than possibly the rear crossmember, using the plate there as well.

Or are you just looking for some where to support it while you repair the pinch welds? The LCA bolt, and the rear crossmember will do fine. Just lay a 2 x 4 across the rear to keep from possibly denting the member. Maybe put some rubber floor mats between the wood and the metal to keep it from potentially sliding. The wood will sink into the stands, so there will be a good bite there. For the front, you could cut some 2 x 8's to shim up the stands if it needs to go a bit higher. I wouldn't use too many tho, unless they are bolted together, but no more than three. If the neon was a heavier car, I wouldn't recommend the wood under the stands, but it should be good, as long as the wood is new, or a hardwood. I have blocked up heavier vehicles with wood, and not had a problem. But it was Oak 4 x 4's A 2 x 8 is a good base, as it isn't going to tip.

on the subframe right at where the lower control arm bolts onto it. and right in-between where the rear control arms bolt to. thats where i have always jacked my car up at.
