The 1GN is killer. For some reason, I like the "naked" fascia-less front end.

Gramps, I almost said the same thing. That front, with no bumper, looks mean. Like, he's got all the lights and stuff in there to show that he's ready to roll. With no mask.

Too bad that the expense would kill someone making a custom "SRT-like" front fascia that would fit a 1GN.
For those who don't know about them, the Type 3 VW's were on a Beetle chassis. The Fastback sedan had two trunks, one in front and one in the rear (the engine was under the rear trunk). The Squareback had room behind the rear seat (again, the engine was underneath that space). There was also a Notchback sedan sold in Europe but not imported here. It had the same two trunk setup as the Fastback.

When I went to the SRT Track Experience at Michigan International Speedway in 2006, one of the training drivers told me that he had seen a 2GN Coupe mule but the doors were too long to be practical (remember the l-o-n-g doors of the mid-80's GM intermediate coupes?

) so DCX canned the idea.

I'm kinda confused. I see before with a bumper, and after, the bumper disappeared... where'd it go?
Also, where are you located? Looks like a PA plate on the Jetta.
EDIT - I just realized there were words. And they said you were working on the car hence no bumper... gotcha. now go put it on.
