Neon Krazy's Progress log!!!

Hey everyone This is my new baby! i got her for cheap in top running condition. Here are my plans for next couple months.
1. Intake (done ICEMAN installed)
2. headers/full exhaust
3. cam lifters, and valve springs.(getting once i sell my snowboard)
4. intake manifold.

OK well here she is this car is great! getting an alignment Monday and got new rear window decal on today says "Fear My Neon!" LOL nice i know i know.

Interior is pretty much stock tan interior with black "Dodge" seat covers. Stock tape player, and shifter.

Future mods:

Engine: After i do the intake manifold cam and the other stuff i listed up top i plan on getting JE forged pistons, with crower rods. I am going to bore out my motor as well. After those are upgraded ill upgrade the bearings, and gaskets. Next i'm going to get some coil-overs and rims (not sure on brand yet). After all of this i'll be ready for the biggest step! custom turbo kit i'm going to go with a garrett or APEX-i Turbo, with whatever good turbo headers and downpipe i find. Getting an internal waste gate on teh turbo so no need for a controller yet. Not really sure yet on teh rest this is all very far away! But thats my plans! unless another dumb ass blind driver wrecks this neon too

I would say before you do anything, replace that upper radiator support and get some fender liners and a cowl weatherstrip. Nice start though

aslo as long as the front end isnt painted, now would be an awesome time to change to a 02 front bumper

Where do i find these parts? and an 02 front bumper is same as mine isn't it? I called auto zone about those parts they dont have any of them for "my car" they have weather striping but not what you said

Nope, the 2002 bumper is different than yours. It is the best looking OEM bumper on a neon, hands down. I suggest you get one from certifit for $30.

Visit certifit.com to find one close to you.

And also, you need to get lowering springs to drop the car a little.

Where are you located? I don't think they ship parts. They have a map with all of their locations in the USA, and you just have to drive to one to buy it really.

And $30 is nothing for a bumper that can easily cost you $300+ from the dealership. A bunch of people on this forum got their 2002 bumpers from certifit. Myself included.

I know Cassy Boecker Paddubny, she's my best friends sister. Last I remember she was the head of something up in the office....

Ok well maybe because we were putting the intake on when i took those pictures. But fear my neon because it's more of a humorous thing. Everyone says neons are slow so when ppl lose they are going to read it. Plus my exhaust doesn't sound anything like a tuner it's got a deep rumble, and people like it. So i put fear my neon. Cool randon1 idc at all what you think ya i'm not working or looking for people to think my car looks nice idc about looks i want speed who needs looks to go fast? Body kits and expensive paint jobs do NOT make you go faster, i want to go fast not look cool. Once i go fazst then i'll look cool doing it but for now, it's fine so shut up because IDC It's just something to be funny seriously not a big deal.

This is my progress log ok, if your going to be a jerk just don't talk because im wanting people to help me on showing me waht to do, not dog my car just because it's not fully painted.

Glad you're into building the car. Learn some of the personalities of the folks on this forum, take your log steady, and take care of all the small stuff to keep things going smoothly. Making friends on here is just as beneficial to your build.

No i actually have two jobs, i bought all my cars by myself pay all my insurance and gas, and parts all for myself! my parents haven't even given like Christmas money or anything since i was fourteen when i started paying for everything. Call me a dumb-ass? yea bud your really mature i mean seriously you have to dog a person over the internet when it's not even your fight lmao get a life! I keep my car in good condition, that rust spot actually just fixed it today well grinded and bondoed it. weatherstripping is not a big deal and i have it i just checked! Yes i do not care my car is ugly right now lol i know it is, i want fast though not looks! i take care of my car to where it will not fall apart, i bought brand new tires for a drag racing event and had my car professionally inspected just for a 1-day event..... it's perfect other than the paint! new pistons installed at 125,976 miles (and piston rings, and bearings) plus all new gaskets, and oil changed three days ago. I take care of my car i don't need someone like you to tell me i dont. on another note i am a kid, well kinda i just turned 18 in October, and i already learned my lesson i do not drag race and do stupid shit on the roads on on the strip where it's legal! lol wanna know how i learned me lesson,,, when i was 16 in my first neon i got a ticket for a 127mph in a 55.... i'll never do anything that stupid again, i grew up ok god! I mean ya i have a little fun ha but who doesn't!?

i'll accept any shit ha i'll tell you my dam self my car is ugly! but these people don't have any idea anything about me and are dogging me? my motor is 100% in good condition, it's been up kept and always will be, once the actually motor hits 150,000 miles i'm switching it out with a newer one. Man i really dont care what people say lol this is all a big laugh but it pisses me off when people talk about ME i mean thats about stupid ha!

1) Don't rag every single person who goes against what you say / do. It shows your maturity level.

2) You bought everything yourself? Cool shit. Josh has been doin' the same thing since like 16 or so. Guess what? He's cool as shit, takes crit, talks to people respectfully, and doesn't hype himself up because he pays for everything. Spending your own money doesn't mean you know respect.

3) Building your car for speed is commendable. Glad to see someone seek out all the potential these cars have. You say you take care of your cars, etc...Then why were all the gaskets, pistons, rings, etc... replaced? Unless you someone managed to royally eff yours up (by lack of maintainence or being dumb) they shouldn't have needed it.

I bought the car off of an old man for 1100 and he gave me all the new parts he got from the insurance company! "Hince the non-painted bumper and fender" thats why my car is the way it is! he pretty much rebuilt the motor and bought new body parts instead of painting it, i respect that i would of done the same thing, so i got the car cheap!

ok i know alright i'm sorry i'm a smaller kid only 5' 7" and im 18 years old i get teased and picked on by all the rich fags from my school so im just used to sticking up for myself.....i'll take criticism not a problem! but why do people get on a website and dog people younger then them? to be "cool"? thats why it annoys me
