it's called guerrilla advertising, they are saying that pioneer suspension feels smooth even when going over really big pot holes. there are more examples here

The only people that will slow down are people that are in love with their cars. Almost every driver here in MD just runs right into potholes because they're too fucking stupid to pay attention to what's going on around them.

but yeah, exactly that, speed bumps. A small surface on the road painted in three different shades of grey to simulate depth. When i drove there for the first time i almost shit my pants and slammed the brakes when i realised it's just paint

Here in the Dutch city Arnhem I believe they did a simulair thing near a riverside.
Bikers bumped into pedestrians all the time so to slow the cyclers down (or scare them) they painted fake holes.

Result was that the bikers suddenly had to avoid the "holes" en fell in the river.

Funny thing around here they don't need to have fake ones they have real ones all over bending rims daily.... Freaking sucks. I have ruined 3 rims over the last 2 years from them. Don't mark the rim up at all just for hitting them with the tire it's enough force that it's bending the rims. Every time I get my tires rotated and balanced they tell me another one is bent. Freaking sucks!
