Radiator hose question

Post by nofrills05 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:48 pm

In a quest to update my radiator hoses I found these on eBay:

TMK if they will fit an '02 shouldn't they fit an '05? And the photo they have shown does not look like 2gn neon hoses...or am I wrong?

I can say for certainty, the bottom hose is not the same for all neons. It changes depending on transmission type. I am also not sure about 1gn hoses being close enough to work either.

The rad hoses really don't need an upgrade so much as they need to be in good condition to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

You cannot go wrong replacing your hoses with new Mopar ones.

If you want more show then perhaps an upper hardpipe is the way to go.

Gates would be another good option for replacement hoses.

You can get Good Year Hi-Miler hoses (if they make them for the Neon) and those are blue.

Looks like I may end up with the Gates ones.

Maybe not be spectacularly pretty, but they are the best in the business, imo.

All rubber for my car will be Gates, except tires of course.

racer12306,

I agree with you... from what I have read about there products.

I was also considering the hard pipe option as mentioned above. Is that something I can make myself?
