54 mm TB vs. MPx 62 mm TB (SRT-4)

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

54 mm TB vs. MPx 62 mm TB (SRT-4)

Post by Mopar65 » Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:13 pm

Hey guys I'm looking for a bigger TB for my SRT and have two options at this point, either a nice decent priced 54 mm ported TB or the MPx 62 mm TB. My question is would there be noticeable difference with between the two sizes? The MPx one is like $230 and the other one is about half that. Thanks for the input

Yea, that's alot of space for air to go into the engine.

Well a boosted engine would prolly make better use of it. I would think with a 3" exhaust, and a larger TB, it may spool a little better?
