I guess I can post this here...

The car is le' broken.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmfY7xlUGxs

I'll post more details later on... but as of right now I bought an extra motor today.... along with SO much other crap. (2 stock turbos and manifolds) headlights, tail lights, engine wiring harness, alternators, starters, powersteering pumps, etc etc etc all for $500.

So regardless, I got the parts to fix whatever my issue is.

Compression in #1 is 120, the rest is 170....

This happened after I sprayed against someone and I then got it towed home.

Oil looks fine, not milky, no shavings in it, etc.... still need to drop the oil pan to inspect.

The VC is off and everything visually looks okay...

You dumb ass... you broked it! Hopefully it's an easy fix with the spare parts you got!

One thing I've learned is that oil dipsticks lie! Sounds like a bent rod to me. Bet the skirts of the piston are hitting your crankshaft counterweights.

Holy shit thats a fucking deal.

Sorry bout the car man, even though you seem pretty content lol. That's why I've always been afraid to mess with nitrous too much.

Seems like an ideal time to build that motor a little bit...

Send me the money, it'll get built.

I don't need a built motor for my power goals though.

350-400hp max is my goal

That's no reason not to make sure your "new" bottom end will handle more if you get bored...

Meh - the reason is empty wallets... but I just went out and took pictures of all the extra stuff I have. (well some of it) to post up for sale.

Not sure if I get my $500 back or not but I'll probably get a decent bit.

The plan was to pull my motor.. put the head on my spare motor I just got and transfer over my newer parts (timing belt stuff and what not)

After actually looking at the spare motor I got... that won't be happening...

I should of saw it when I bought it but when he said I could buy all those parts for $500, I didn't really inspect the block. It's okay though because I made my $500 back already.

At this point I guess all I can do is pull my motor and inspect it... to see if I want to reuse these "newer" stock stuff or try to do a budget rebuild. :cussing:

I've never really gone this "deep" into the motor.. most I usually do is bolt ons or head gaskets and that's about it.

So it's the first time I disassembled a motor.. it was pretty fun but I have no idea if these pistons/rods look to be in good shape.

They look good to me but meh...

In the 2nd to last pic... is the rod end not tightened down all the way? If not, that'd be a problem...

OK, just saw how the rest all look like they're tightened and then that one has a gap...

Otherwise they seem OK to me too, although all I know comes from car shows on spike TV, haha. How are the bearings?

It's all in the tune, son (and sometimes a bit of luck). I guy on .org ran a 90 shot on his car for years with no issues. Some people run a 50 shot and go BOOM.
