Matt
I've had the itch to get rid of this thing for quite awhile now... I thought I had it traded for a GMC Safari van in January but that wound up not happening. What I did find is that I'm bored with the car and would love to find an Astro/Safari in decent shape.
My car is:
01 Neon
Automatic transmission
A/C (works)
power windows, power locks, power steering/brakes (of course...), factory CD player (I'm keeping the Kenwood and XM hardware shown in the pics), rear defrost, power/heated/folding mirrors, factory aluminum rims. The car also has wiper delay, cruise control, and tilt steering. It's been my daily driver for 2 years now and hasn't had any issues. I replaced the power steering switch and have tried to keep everything fixed. Everything works as well, such as lights, windows, HVAC, etc... Mechanically its sound, however I *think* (I'm NOT 100%) it may need a front wheel bearing eventually... I've never looked at it, but there's a weird resonance which could just be tire noise... (it doesn't feel like a wheel bearing is going out). I recently replaced the battery and terminals as well.
It has 120xxx miles on it. Body-wise there's some rust brewing around the edge of the trunklid and drivers side door but its otherwise solid. There's some scuffs on the bumpers but no major dents. The interior has some cigarette burns from a previous owner but there's no busted plastic or ripped seats.
I know the interior needs cleaned and I'd since cleaned it, but now its due for a vacuum again..
I'm looking for a GMC Safari or Chevy Astro, 90 or newer, to swap my Neon for. I'd prefer one that isn't rusted out or banged up on the inside or out and it MUST be mechanically sound since it'll be my daily driver. I'm in no hurry to get rid of this car but I figured I'd "throw it out there" and see what happens.
I've got 100% positive eBay feedback under mattbaer_oh
I'm located in SW Ohio, between Columbus and Cincinnati.
PM me for email address or IM.
If a price is required I'd say $2000 but as I said, I'd rather trade it.
Thanks,
Matt B
