I have to agree with everything Aayan Hirsi said. We have to stand by the two creators of South Park. Not because we like their show (if you dont thats fine. The show is no longer the main subject) but because we will always have and should always have our freedom of speech. Its our Country given RIGHT. Its the bases our country was founded on and its what keeps people in check. Its something you fight for even if the fight kills you.

Jeezie creezie. This is very upsetting. As a religious person, as an American, and as a member of the free world I'm deeply offended that this satire would garner threats. Where does it stop? If we merely say the name we'd get blown up?

I knew the religion barred portraying him but he wasn't even portrayed. That's the insanity of this. They didn't have a cartoon of a man that could reasonably be him, snorting coke off the back of some hooker. It was a teddy bear costumed dude.

And he was even portrayed in a positive way.....well positive for South Park. He was helping the town of south park from getting bombed! I just hope someday in the very distant future racism, religious nuts, and ignorance will be gone. We will have blended all the races and will be all the same greyish color.

this is why i am not religious, why is there always enough religion to incite war, but never enough to instill tolerance?

and to moparkorea, how could you wish that?? we all blend and lose each individual trait that makes us who we are, i am proud to be white, and i hope that everyone else is proud of their ancestry as well, its just the lack of education and tolerance that hurts us, not race

Western culture, meet Islam. According to Islam, any portrayal of the Prophet Muhammad is considered idolatry. If you talk about him outside of religious terms, then you can consider yourself screwed. Yet we as "the west" prize our concepts of free speech. It's a clash of cultures. I understand their views, yet I champion free speech like most people around here. France and Belgium are passing laws to ban the burqa in their countries for the reason of "national security."

So this whole issue is just a clash of cultures. If you were raised in the Middle East, how would you feel about Matt and Trey doing this?

(BTW, I'm Deist/Agnostic, I have no dog in this race.)

not only did they censor the audio everytime they said muhammad, the end where they 'described' muhammad and why he can'not 'be mocked' they censored like a good 1 minute of audio.. sick of these muslims and their shit.

-Muhammad was in season 5, shown with no problem. He was also shown in the title sequence for roughly 4 series.

-The bleeping in last nights episode was done by Comedy Central at the last minute, not the writers. Hell, if you try and watch the episode from last night on www.southparkstudios.com you see this:

As said in an interview, you cant let this scare you, you simply ingore it and continue on, pretty soon theres going to be to many people to be mad at at one time. People make fun of my god all the time. (christian) but thats not a big deal for me.
