Will a SRT4 Downpipe work on my 00 Chrysler Neon LE

my cat has a big whole in it on my LE....question is will a SRT4 downpipe bolt on to stock manifold? I currently run a 2L SOHC 16V engine and 4 bolt flange... I want to scrap the whole cat mess just run a straight pipe for more power...also have the dual SRT4 exhaust installed on the rear on my car. Please let me know if you have downpiped your neon with success. Direct swap, bolt on whatever....even if you have any new ideas, or any downpipes kicking around that you wanna sell that will fit my LE! Thank you very much!

i believe you can, if im not mistaken i believe the srt DP is a little shorter so little modification might be needed. but to be honest napa sells the four bolt flex flange, i think it a 2.5 in pipe size. get that and have a shop do a custom exhaust from the manifold back, it will be expensive but worth it.

Napa can't do the work, but an exhaust shop can. From what I understand, a stock SRT downpipe will bolt on to a stock manifold and exhaust, so just do it.

What the hell im gonna order a SRT4 Downpipe from ebay and try bolt her on. I will update everything later to let you know if I am successful or not.

Not to knock NAPA, but $144, will buy a lot of fab work, when it comes to having a pipe made.

Installed it today! Work excellent. Only thing that was different was the SRT pipe is a little longer so you may have to modify a shorter straight pipe to make it fit from the back of the down pipe into your exhaust. Sounds amazing...I am running a stainless downpipe and removed my cat Also have dual stainless SRT-4 exhaust. Sounds amazing has much more power. Gonna post pics soon of my LX.

Excuse my ignorance, but would the installation of the downpipe make the srt-4 exhaust sound better? I heard it was overly loud.

The down pipe is only the section of tubing that connects the exhaust manifold to the mid section, or catalytic converter, depending on the set up.
