Going to be buying this:
http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD/121/8969/10002/-1
And a WOT switch. Question is which WOT switch to get? There are many from NX to NOS brand. Any idea on which one is easier to install or more reliable?
I'd like to hear some input from you magnum mani swapped guys.

I Used a harlan rpm switch for mine, it was only 50 dollars, and does the same thing. It's adjustable incase you want to change the on/off points. (Just Not Digital Like the MSD)
However, i don't use a WOT switch since i'm still atx, and you have to be at 75% throttle or more to get the car to rev out to 4500rpm anyways.

You don't need the wot box with the 8969. Just set it for 4900rpm and call it a day. I used sneakers o tooles howto and it super works. I had a wot box and sold it because I didn't use it.

The MSD switch is overpriced IMO.

I'd just go with the window switch, no WOT switch.

So many neons so little time.

not to be a "Sassy Susan" but your setup using two seperate boxes is about the same price as the msd unit. You don't need the wot box or the tach driver and it would be easier to sell the msd later if it ends up needing to be sold. Also I think the msd is a little cleaner and is much nicer looking. Not knocking your setup though, just food for thought.

To be equivalent to the MSD setup from sneakers o tooles howto, you could accomplish the same using only the Summit window switch for $50
LINK It has all of the features of the MSD box, but for $70 less. I really like its smaller size though too.
It also does not require the use of a tach adapter. The WOT box could be added to either window switch to increase functionality. This allowed me to open the butterflies at low rpm WOT, and only at WOT above 5k. Neither window switch would be able to accomplish that on its own.

I purchased my msd used for pretty cheap so I can understand the cost. I still think the msd is nicer to look at. Still with either unit the wot box isn't really needed.

Thanks guys for all your input and links!
I think I'm just going to go with the 8969 and 4900 RPM like randomZERO suggested. The easier the set up, the more I will be inclined to actually doing it.
I believe this is the wiring diagram for the 8969 I will follow:
viewtopic.php?t=44887&highlight=msd+8969+wiring
There is talk of a relay here but it has me in a slump. What kind do I need to buy?
Automotive wiring and me don't really get along too well

That is it but try a local auto parts store. Maybe 2 bucks cheaper and no shipping

I now officially have my secondaries opening!
I used the sneakers o tooles how to and it worked great! There is minimal wiring showing, most of it (relay etc) I concealed inside the kick panel on the drivers side. I placed the 8969 in the cubby hole at the front of the center console for easy access.
This is the only wiring seen in the engine bay.
As it sits in the console. I need to mount it so it does not vibrate, a couple of small screws should do the trick.

or some velcro, so you don't need to make any holes.. incase you decide to relocate it at some point.

I would take some time to
REALLY seal up those terminals good....
...Being so close to the battery, they will definitely corrode.
Other than that, good job on the install, glad to see that it works.
