Neon - PT Cruiser bumper lights

Post by Jo-XL » Thu Apr 29, 2010 4:08 pm

Question:

In the rear bumper of our Euro Neons we have a reflector and a rear foglight. ( no that's not my Neon :P )

Then, the rear of a PT Cruiser:

As you can see, the lights in the PT bumper look the same as the ones on our Neons.
So my question is, are these exactly the same?

People here can't help me out, maybe someone from here? :)

Thanks!

Yes I did, but still no good answers. :( Some dealers I called couldn't tell me either....

And you're not supposed to read this
Because if they are the same, I have a nice surprice soon :P

Interesting, I never noticed that before :-k

The lamps aren't identical because they have different part #s, but that doesn't mean that the difference isn't something minor.

As a side note, the rear fog lamps on a Chrysler Cirrus (4 door, 2002 type body style) does use the exact same lamps as a Neon.

And I think I know what you are going to try. I say go for it...should look pretty killer
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

they are not exactly the same, but they will fit. I used the right light from the PT on my Neon-bumper to use it as the backuplight :)

That they will fit is the most important thing. :)
So if they fit, I'll replace the ones on the Neon with these from a PT;

From the picture of the neon, the lights look more curved than the PT ones ( more boxed like) Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. Give it a shot, and see if it works...

I agree. I don't think they are the same.

They are not the same, true, but I now have a picture that proves it fits, and that's the most important thing :D

Do you plan on using both, or just one like pictured?
