Need upper motor mount but dealers have none.

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Need upper motor mount but dealers have none.

Post by titansxt » Sun May 02, 2010 1:33 am

So according to my local dealer the upper mount is not available but I found a number for a mount that fits only a 2005 MTX. The parts guy did not want to order it since neither of us were sure if it was the part I needed. Any one of the parts guys want to chime in on this one? In dire need of a upper mount for my 03 2.0.

I'm 99% sure the mounts are the same on all 2.0L engines, auto or manual. I have a spare top mount with about 44K miles on it. It's visually in great shape, but since my lower one was blown so bad I can't say for sure whether or not it's perfect. Let me know if you want it ;)

The upper 2.0 mount is the same for all years. For some reason, certain places list them differently for 2005 cars.

The only difference in the mounts is the firmness of the rubber. Get one for a MTX (preferably for a 2.0 Magnum).
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

'01 listing only:

5274904AA = EBD 1.8 and ECB 2.0 MTX

XXXX XX?? = ECH

5274903AA = ATX

Is there a PN for the ECH (R/T) mount?

I bought cheap ones from rockauto.com then put solid "race" inserts in them from ModernPerformance.com

And yes, they should all be the same but some might look slightly different.

Seems not. Weird, I though for sure there was :-k FWIW, the 2.0 MTX and the SRT are the same part #.

I know on the mount itself there is a part # listing for the different colors that corespond to the hardness of the rubber.

I'll check my extra one when I get home.

I've known they are all the same for every year. Thats not my problem. Its the fact that there are 0 in the pipeline and over 2,000 mounts ordered for the PN on the upper mount I need for the sxt. Another dealer gave me a different number but no one seems to know what kind of mount it really is. So if the parts guys on here can confirm there is another number that is available, that would be awesome.
