1996 Dodge Neon Highline. 4 door, Auto, 146,xxx miles.
The motor is in great shape, the tires are fresh, the suspension is doing good. The exterior has it's fair share of scratches, dents, dings. But it's a 14 year old car that was only moderately cared for at best. Interior is fairly clean.

No radio as of right now. Not registering/insuring the car till the 1st of June, so it's gonna sit for a little bit.

Not gonna lie, I am super pumped to drive this thing. Having the red car off the road is gonna be great.

Not too sure on plans just yet, but this will be the thread to check for 'em. It will get some small personalization, but nothing serious.. at least yet. Haha.

Sand the headlights. That's what mine looked like. After some 400, 800, 1000, and 2000 they look almost like new.

Needs bubble hubcaps! For some reason it reminded me of your first car... though it doesn't look anything like it.

Nice. A daily...and a Neon at that!

It's great having a daily. It allows you to drive around with a lot less anxiety, heh. Just do simple mods and don't turn it into another money pit, and you'll be good.

Haha. Any modding to this will be simple, and only to enhance the driving experience, in a comfortable way. Small plans are:

- New headlights w/ silverstars.
- Ebay Intake for gas mileage and throttle response.
- OEM Radio w/ cassette for my iPod.
- New plugs and wires, and an oil change.

That's all I came up with so far, haha. This car will mostly have interior mods I think.

Nice clean car. Probably one of the few 1st gens I've seen without rust or fading / flaking paint. Ha.

Is that a dent on the trunk?

This. It's what I did with Nee, just a few things to make him my own and that was that.

Just a quick update. The car is on the road as of yesterday. Took it for a day trip down to Philly for a show (music), roughly 235 miles round trip, car performed flawlessly!

Thanks man! I love it. Another update: Got 32.2 MPG on that tank. That was with some A/C useage, going 80mph a lot, and sitting through some traffic.

I need to charge up the A/C because it is a little weak, and get a radio w/ cassette.

Do a 3.0 intake, not a ebay intake. Ebay intakes put it at the back of the motor, 3.0 put it down in front.

EDIT: Just so you know, my 98 was nailing 40MPG daily, and got 45MPG on a long trip to pittsburgh with me and the wife. A 3.55 swap would be so cash in this car.

Hahah. No tranny swaps. Don't wanna do anything that's going to require me to work on the car for more than a day. And don't I need to move my battery to do a 3.0 intake? Don't feel like doing that either.

Nah, you just have to cut the front corner of the battery tray, next to the sensor. It's easy as pie.
