Need Everyones Opinion

Post by strykr » Mon May 10, 2010 10:35 pm

Well first off I am changing my front end over from 01 to 03+ (with mopar lip). My car is silver and ive been trying to figure out what headlights I should get? Ive been looking online at pictures of 03+ silver neons with headlights and all the blacked out ones ive seen look bad.. I havent seen any chrome lights.. just blacked out and stock (or stock blacked out).

I would like to know what you guys think would look good? and preferably some pictures to show me what it looks like, if you have any.

Thanks!

I think black lights/wheels on silver cars is a major fail, but that is where we will have to agree to disagree.

Just get 03+ raccoons, which are the same as the ones you posted. I wouldn't pay $200+ for it.

well where could i get the racoons for cheaper then 209? other then ebay lol

and another side note... i just ordered a 01 hood and then came across this "'00 style hoods have a point on them enough to cause problems with '03+ bumpers."

is that only the 2000's that wont work or are the 01 hoods the same problem?!? I already paid for it, and ill snap if i just wasted money...

I had chrome projectors on my silver. I hated them.

It should fit. My '00 hood fit with my 02 bumper and had the typical overlap with SRT bumpers. You'll be fine, IMO.

All non SRT hoods are the same from 2000-2005.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Actually I have seen some early 00 hoods have more of a point to them. Found this out at a junk yard when a 00 and an 03 were sitting side by side. Unless my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Or if it was an aftermarket hood.

Edit: But as far as where the lights fit to the hood, there would be no difference, even if the center was a bit more pointed.

No it was an oem hood. I guess maybe the bumpers were playing with my eyes. :o)

I just thought about it and then later on I heard someone on here say the 00 hoods were slightly different. Ah well. Good to know info.
