Ok gts, what bulbs did you do your HVAC panel with? I bought some blue incandescent bulbs and they look kinda crappy. Too dim and still look greenish.

Oh sweet this is exactly what I've been wanting to do. I just didn't know it yet. I hurried and bought those 10 194 LED's off that ebay deal.
Although I do plan on using that 5 LED matrix one for the cluster...that looks pretty sweet.
Also, I'm surprised no one asked, but how did you change the color of the odometer?! Very crafty

Anyone got a direct link to the 5-LED Matrix LED's on autolumination? I can't find them for some reason.

Scroll down a little bit until you see "Introducing the WEDGE MATRIX blah blah". These are killer bulbs. You could use the wide-angle inverted single LEDs, but the ones I've seen using those had a bit of a "spotlighting" effect (some areas brighter than others). With the 5-LED matrix bulbs, light is perfectly even.
If they weren't so expensive, I'd order 3 more to take apart and somehow use for my HVAC controls. I've got some inverted lens type coming in the mail this week.
EDIT: Also, FYI, anybody doing this on an SRT-4, there is actually an SRT-4 Gauge Kit on Autolumination. You can buy the kit with all the bulbs you need for cheaper than you can buy them individually.

That links right to the page.
If you're on the home page, scroll down to a bit and you'll see: "Click Here to Enter Forums: SRT-4, RX8, Corvette, Suzuki, BMW". If you click on "SRT-4", you get the page above.
There are a few pictures on there, but if you click on "Gauge Kit" on the SRT-4 page, it takes you to the RX8 page. I don't know why. Their website sucks so f'king bad that I was kinda leary buying from them at first, but their bulbs are great.

Is it just the sales brochure? If they have them at the dealership on the way home from work, I'll just grab one. I kinda want to see this cupholder thing as well as the rest of the car.kc2002acr wrote:Unfortunately, no, and dont have a scanner anymore either, or I would scan the picture in the new caliber book they pass out at the dodge dealership.

I would like to see the gauges white as well, but unfortunately the stock overlay is tinted green, so all you'd get is bright green if you installed white LEDs.J8t4m wrote:Ive been thinking about doing this with White LEDs

I think NiteHawk is (or was) working on that. He was coming up with a way to illuminate that whole thing blue, but keep the red lines red. I myself really don't see the big deal. I know when the temperature is too high. I know when my fuel is too low. And I definitely know when my car is around 6500rpm yelling at me "HEEEYYYYYY!!!! SHIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFTT!!!!
