Thanks for the headsup Jake. Not sure how soon I'll dive into a legit Honda forum or anything. I just want to clean a few things up like interior and wheels.

I actually wouldn't mind a clean hatch like that for a DD. 44 mpg plus just cool being a hatch sounds yummy.

And I really don't like Hondas.. Hmmm.

yeah, but it probably wouldn't be hard to find a set of blades, or slips or something on there.

would look good.

That's actually (aside from the wheels) a really nice looking little hatch.. Not bad not bad :D

I'm not a huge fan of SI wheels... they look ok on some cars...but I'd much rather have blades.

What do these said wheels in question look like? Blades vs. Si?

Forget a price quote on the body fixin', duct tape and black spray paint lasts longer... atleast that's what all the local Honda punks seem to think

LOL Mike. All the locals have that style. I like the "welded, worked, and painted" style.

John, I agree w/ you and Steven Blades > most all others. $450 is steep for Si wheels. I've seen blades for half that anyway.

Uploading pics meow!

Also, since this IS a p-log....

Stuff to come within ~2 weeks:
1. 30% tint all around ("Happy Birthday!" says Staci)

2. Buff sideskirts

3. Get rear QP quote for fixin'

4. Work on wiring for 3rd brake light.

5. Find out why a bone stock exhaust system is loud like the Neon.

6. Yank ricer AFR.

7. OE lugs / steelies

8. FELPRO exhaust manifold gasket. This fucker whistles if you're over 1/2 throttle.
The bolded is basically done. Car gets dropped off Tuesday morning for 30% all around. $160 out the door, 5 windows. Thanks ma! Exhaust gasket was crazy simple. Honda FTW. Took me 5 minutes.

Here's the first actual pictures of the car. Dusk and poor cam skills FTL. Also, note my epic Honda rot.

Tried to capture my ricer blue / purple headlights. Output is way better than the Neon, but the JDM scatter is pretty win. Idk, just needz moar white.

Also, might drop it back down another 1/4" or so. Headed tomorrow for a rear QP quote.

I'm sayin'. I fall moar and moar in love with this car every time I drive it, but then I see a reflection or park and get out and I get all "meheewwwyyyy." Thinking I need to grab Bob's steelies STAT and get 'em on. Local ricers should eat these wheels up.

Wow your mom has no legs!
Honda rot has gotta go, wheels gotta go and I personally hate how high the rear bumper sits compared to the rest of the car. I might have to bring my pretty new motorcycle into town since the neon is down for the count.

Word. It'll be our first non-Neon meetup. I need to look into what sort of rear valences are made for these cars. It's not a huge priority because I know with different wheels and proper stance it'll look fairly legit. I might just get the skirts painted to match instead of this ABS plastic looking shit.

Yeah there are replica lips like that all over the bay. I'm half tempted to get one, but I haven't done enough research on these cars yet. Once I've got solid knowledge, I'll dive into it. I'm still cleaning the car up.

SI wheels are a seven spoke, I kinda like that. But the blades are cooler looking IMO.

Meh. I'm going name brand exhaust on the car, when it's time. I found a leak tonight, which explains why it's so loud. Gonna get that plugged up tomorrow night after work or something. Idk when really, but soon. It's annoying.

It also came with an ECU for a D16Y8 but I guess I've got to install a knock sensor and swap a few pins on the harness for it to work, but it'll fix my richness problem. It's running mad rich.

Other than that, I still need to get a couple quotes so I can save, and I picked out my wheels. 15x7 Drag-DR21s in gold with a polished lip. $375 to my door, so I'll grab 'em up here soon. Gotta splurge to get the car registered here soon.

Ok if any Honda owners know anything about this, post up, otherwise I'll save the search for tomorrow / later this weekend.

The car had a d16y7, but the dude swapped a VTEC y8 head on it. He's got some ECU in it that's "chromed" for boost, so it runs pretty damn rich. He's got a '97 ECU he gave to me, that's for a VTEC SOHC (which is basically what the car is now). I was trying to read up on what I need to do to run it, and it sounds like I've gotta mess w/ maybe 2 pins on the harness and install and wire up a knock sensor. Does anyone know what this may entail? Knock sensors are fairly straight forward, but the whole wiring thing messes with me. I just want it to run a bit more lean. It's rich as hell. I might have to call the dude and have him walk me through it. Can I "unchrome" this ECU?

Chrome is an aftermarket ECU/tuning company, if that helps any. They're big in the JDM scene. Other than that, you're on your own Honda wise.
