Changing leds in switches

Post by LI NEON 72 » Sun May 16, 2010 3:50 pm

I've looked but only came across one post about changing them and it really didn't help. I want to change all of the green leds in all of my switches. Do i have to use resistors since they have them in the circuit board already? If anyone has done this whats the right size led to use and the correct resistor if i have to change them?
Thanks

nope
- the original LEDs in the window switches are 12V and w/o resistor so you will need LED + resistor.
- if you have illuminated door lock switches - no extra resistor needed.
- mirror switch, trac control, window heater has a 12V bulb so you will need LED + resistor

I have all the switches with leds from the factory and they have resistors in them so cant i just replace the led with a different color? Or do i have to change the resistor to a different one and if so what one?
thanks
