I know the 5 stud subaru wheels are 5x100 stud pattern but will they fit the neon?

Depends on the offset, which are probably different between years/models of Subaru's.

I think they also have a different centerbore... I can't remember if it is too big or too small... but I think it is too small!

Subies usually have +48 or higher offsets, likelihood of fitment isn't good.

You are correct, OEM Subaru wheels have a hub bore of 56.1 mm, Neons have a 57.1 mm hub so OEM Subaru wheels won't work.

Usually a good wheel shop can open them up for you, if not, using a spacer will get past the hub bore size. You have to be very carful doing this though.
