hey guys just started tearing into the motor figured i would let u know that i am gonna do the gasket myself. save some money!!!!!

ran out of daylight so thats as far as i got more to come

making good progress! Let us know if you run into any problems. Many of us have been in your shoes at some point or another. Turns out taking the mount plate off the side of the motor, is about the hardest single part..

Maybe this is a dumb question but what was the cause of the blown head gasket?

nah this whole process is pretty easy easier then i thought it would be. next i have to mark cam and harmonic balancer. then take timing belt off and cam sprocket off. after all that head bolts and tada my head will be off. as far as the reason for the blown head gasket i have no clue will find out when take head off.

Holy burnt oil.. clean those pistons up with some brake cleaner before you throw it all back together!

Your exhaust is pretty cool, looks great flat black like that. I hate chrome as well
