DOGBONE Motor Mounts?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

DOGBONE Motor Mounts?

Post by mopar04 » Thu May 27, 2010 3:04 pm

I noticed while looking around online that alot of fellow Neon drivers have a DOGBONE motor mount. I am curious about if they are a good buy or if there are other better buys. If anyone has a DB motor mount let me know what you think of your purchase. Thanks.

I have them and they work amazingly! Definiately keeps the tires to the ground! The only problem is you HAVE to align the top mount, otherwise it will shake ALOT! (Which I have, because I havent aligned it yet.. plan on doing it soon! As in tonight lol)

I have the AGP dogbones and they are different from the stock mounts. You feel more vibrations, especially when the A/C kicks in; but they also help keep the tires on the ground more and cut out most of the wheelhop, as said earlier. It only takes about 30 minutes to install them.

If you can deal with the added vibrations, then this is a solid (haha! pun intended) investment.

Junk? Ha! I doubt 'yours' are as solid as these, there is nothing what so ever wrong with them.. You get what you pay for, you want mounts like this, then expect to have the vibrations lol

These engine mounts have been made for several years and have a lot of R&D behind them. I stand (or sit haha!) behind the AGP mounts and I haven't had one problem with them.

Bwoody mounts are just as good, cost less, and come in a variety of colors. I use them and love the way they feel.
