Replace Mulifunction Switch or Connector, or both?

Ok so I read all the stickies on the multifunction switch and the issues with the connector melting. So here is what I'm left with, my car has headlights, brake lights, and turn signals, but no taillights or interior lights (HVAC and Cluster). I know someone had the exact same problem, but I need to know whether or not to replace the MFS or the connector or both. I know some people who have had the same problem just replace the MFS even thought the connector is a little burnt up and it works fine. I know one reason this happens is because of HID's not being installed properly and the car previously had 10k HIDs, but now I just have standard Angel Eye Projectors in. Take a look at the pictures. Ok I got a brand new multifunction switch and put the fuse back in for the instrument cluster and turned the lights on and it worked, however it didn't last long and after I actually started the car the fuse popped once again. So do I need a multifunction connector repair kit or is this something else? Thanks guys

I would start with the multifunction connector repair kit.

If that doesn't fix it, then you can continue looking.... Why do more repairs than necessary ?

All the fuses are fine on the inside and under the hood. The fuse for the instrument cluster pops as soon as i turn on the lights and I assume that those three or four burnt up "dock things" on the connector are the culprit or an exposed wire somewhere shorting out. Looks like I'm tracing ALL the lines soon to see for shorting
