Radiator Bushings?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Radiator Bushings?

Post by bombtrack07 » Mon May 31, 2010 11:53 am

I've traced a squeaky noise to my radiator and it seems the lower left bushing is shot. Plus I don't think it should move up and down that much. I tied a shop rag around the top mount to keep it from moving and took it for a spin and yes, no more squeak. I checked at Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, and O'Reilly but none of them had results for "radiator bushings." So my question is, are the bushings a non-serviceable part? I'd hate to buy a whole radiator just to get this squeak to stop, but it's been going on for a while now and I'm tired of it.

they come with the new radiator. I doubt you can just buy one. Also our radiators do move around quite a bit.

Yeh I figured that I could run down to the local pick 'n pull but is the bushing the same from an SRT to a regular Neon?

I don't see any reason, why it would be different.

ISOLATOR, Radiator
4495963AB 2 without Air Conditioning, Lower
4546657AB 2 with Air Conditioning, Lower

BRACKET, Cooling Module
5278276AC 1 Upper Right
5278277AC 1 Upper Left

IDK if the bracket comes with the rubber isolator or not. The drawing doesn't show the uppers, just the bracket. There is no engine specification between them either.

And my new radiator did not come with new ones. (Dealer)
