Yep, those XJ's are pretty flimsy as far as holding up in a crash. Definitely don't ever want to get T-Boned in mine, after seeing first hand what an F150 will do to one. Driver's door was touching the passenger's door. If the car is totalled, you should have the right to buy it from the insurance for the "salvage value". Look at the eBay listings for used cars with low prices.
I'm glad you got it back, but I'm sure lots of people wanted it as a "donor" for a "SRT-swap"
