Need a new Clutch and idk what direction to go??

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Post by imhutch1402 » Mon Jun 07, 2010 8:11 pm

My 03 Srt4 still has the stock clutch on it and it is starting to go bad, so I am goin to need to replace it. I am looking for any suggestions on what i should do for a replacement clutch?? i am looking for maybe a little bit of a upgrade but not a huge jump and also something affordable.

Centerforce and ACT seem to be the bees knees for the T850.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

Don't do centerforce, unless they changed something in there design, the old school turbo FWD guys will tell you that the weights on the pressureplate are known to fly off on turbo motors.
Upgrade options are hard as you need to know what you plan on doing in the future. The stock clutch is pretty potent and unless you know what the future holds anyone can tell you anything....
