2.4 Engine Swap pick up?

Post by mopar04 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 2:29 pm

I'm wanting to do a 2.4swap on my 04 SXT but I cant find any wrecked SRTs around here locally or at any junkyards. I already found a shop that said if I have a donor they would switch EVERYTHING for $700 so does anyone know a website where I can browse around for wrecked cars? I know there are websites out there to do so just unclear of what they are. Thanks in advance.

Most websites are for dealers only ( as in you need a dealers license to purchase) because the cars are getting bought from the insurnace companies.

You either going to have to find a dealer to get the car for you (they'll get a cut) or you could get lucky and find a private seller.

Good luck

Here you only need a dealer license if you buy/sale more than 3 cars a year I think it is. Thanks for the info.

search.php

^That's a useful website.

There are some auction websites around, don't remember the names anymore. Craigslist is good, but not too reliable.

Check Ebay.

Srt swap will be mighty expensive just know what you're getting into. Your looking at $1000 just for an srt motor on an auction site

I picked up my 2nd SRT motor for $750 with 23k miles
Also try PT turbo motors. Almost the same just a few differences on the turbo lines and tensioner.

Yeah I realize what I'm doing. If I can find a deal on a wrecked car I'm good to go. Thanks everyone for the sites!
