The DHL guys suck as far as customer service, but their delivery is rated better than UPS and FedEx - I think it is a result of less a demand from delivery, giving their people more time to be careful with packages and faster delivery. UPS and FX has always gave me problems.

Install was quick and would have only taken about 2 min if I wasn't a moron. If you have CAI you just pop off the plug that is in the 2nd hole from the top on your PCM (I didn't have anything in the top one so it was easy access). I slid that little red clip back and then pulled for awhile and then went in to check the Haynes manual cause I didn't want to break anything. The manual said there were release tabs on the side to squeeze...no such tabs on the side of mine. Turns out there is a little black tab right behind that red clip...squeeze it and the connector pops right off. Pop the chip on and pop the wire back in.
If you don't have CAI plan on spendind a good 20 min+ removing your air box unless you come at it from below (that is what I would suggest).

Impression. My exhaust sounds a little higher pitched than usual, not sure why??? The car seems to keep pulling at higher revs instead of tapering off near redline and I get a little more wheelspin going from 1st-2nd. My wife said she didn't notice anything different but she doesn't notice when I come home with a fresh haircut either
EDIT: Exhaust tone is back to normal...maybe my ears were just dirty that first night?
Planning on hitting the dyno later this month. I would hold off on ordering until I have the dyno. The chip came with a Jet Performance sticker. I told myself that if it gives me the 10-15 they advertise I will put the sticker on my car...otherwise it goes on the trash can (I have a ricer trash can)

make sure you dyno with a wideband O2 sensor so we can see if it just leans out the mixture or what it does... please :)

you'll feel 10-15 hp... for example i dumped some good old toluene into my srt4 and i feel the difference 3 extra octane points makes; 10-15hp is quite an extra kick in the pants...it's like going from sx to r/t

how's the beast doing? has the computer relearned anything? more importantly, are you using 92 octane like it says requires?

you do know that the mustang dyno will give different power output then a dynojet dyno. unless you get it corrected (SAE?)

Dyno end of this month first part of next. The shop said they want at least 1 weeks notice and 3 weeks would be nice...not sure why. All they have to do is take my money, strap the car down and have at it, right?

here is the link to where I am taking it.... and the info about the dyno
http://www.jmschip.com/dyno.php

I am under the impression that the mustang chasis dyno is about as accurate as you can get.

Doesn;t seem like the comp is really accounting for it. I haven't been really getting on it too much due to traffic. It still seems like it pulls harder at higher rpm but might have lost a little down
low :(

I am running 93 octane. Down to about a 1/4 tank and anxious to see if the chip affects my mpg (couldn't make it much worse) but the fact that I sat in the taco bell drive thru for 40 min doesn;t help much...LOL

I am thinking I will try and get an appt for the dyno next Friday. Sorry to make ya'll wait so long for the results but then again I am the one putting up the $$$ so I don't want to hear any complaining

hey man sorry if we ARE complaining we all appreciate this a lot bro! take your time, were just anxious. this pcm thing has been buggin me forever, i wanna know if NGC is for real or not. good luck and thanks.

btw ive heard that evos are known to have a very similar computer that doesnt like upgrades much and resets back to normal. sound familiar? theyre lucky tho, they have AEM EMS and tons of other standalones and PB's, even motec just released a SA for the evo9.

^^^ Imports always get alot more aftermarket parts . . .

Kinda sucks . . .
But then again . . . there are alot of parts for the 1st gens . . I still think 2gens are sorta in a grow process . . .

I know that sounds hokey pokey - But after awhile 2gens will be as popular as 1st gens . . .

One thing that kinda erks me alittle is . . .I can walk into my local advanced auto and gets ALL kinda honda parts . . . tails - head lights - exhaust - intakes - headers . . . just sitting there . . . the honda market is huge . . . .

And I just realized IM WAY OF SUBJECT

and you also realize that most of those parts they keep stocked for hondas are APC....big NO-NO

(I work at advance haha) They can order things that you want though, but its easier just to do it online...cheaper that way too

hey just gave me the printouts...so here it is...right after this commercial break... :P

The Jet chip is a waste. All 3 runs were nearly identical...within 1-2hp of each other across the board.

Run 1 was with the chip and max hp was 119.2
Run 2 no chip max hp as 118.85
Run 3 chip and reset computer max hp 119.15

A/F ratio is the same across the board...bvery subtle changes. My car starts at 15 @ 3000rpm in 4th and then goes up to 18 @4K and then drop to 16 @ 5000rpm and holds there to cut out

So my car had 119 hp, 127ft lbs ot torque and avg. a/f r of 16

Now i have to see if I can get my $$$ back from Howell or Jet.

ANy contributions to the "sorry dude" fund can be paypaled to grzyruth@cableone.net

Good news is that resetting the comp. didn't do anything so hopefully that helps dispell the NGC myth.

What does a stock SXT run at the wheels anyway?

THanks
Jerome

sorry bud i really hope you can get your skrilla back. thank you very much for taking the chance, it answered a LOT of questions. A stock sxt makes about 116 hp to the wheels, as tested by K&N while designing the typhoon CAI.

Damn man, that sucks. I'd call howell or jet and get them to give you your money back, or file a false advertising suit against them!

shitty deal... i'll post this on the srtforums, it was just yeasterday that i stumbled over another post on there about the JET chip and people considering doing "tests". i was hoping you'd at least gain half a horse or something, or at the very least notice any differences in the A/F, timing or SOMETHING....bah

I doubt Howell will refund your money after thinking about it....

They don't mention a specific power gain, just the following:
howell auto wrote:The JET Performance Module for Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles is a JET exclusive. Dynamic Spectrum Tuning provides power gains across the entire power band-not just at full throttle. Point by point air/fuel ratio, ignition advance and various other tuning points provide performance gains of up to 25 horsepower. Improves throttle response, acceleration and low end torque. Simple, plug-in installation in less than 30 minutes. Available in Stage 1 and Stage 2.

Stage 2-Designed for the performance enthusiast, the Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to make the most horsepower and torque available. Fuel and timing curves are extensively modified for peak performance and drivability. Requires use of 91 octane fuel, 180 degree thermostat and free flow exhaust. Also works well with aftermarket intake systems, mass air sensors, TBI spacers, etc.
So, it did provide a small increase, no where near 25hp, but it looks like you're screwed :( I'm sorry bud...
