dude... I was wrong. It was the 01-02 R/T with such a setup. The 03-04 R/T had the 3.94... my bad for the tard comment haha. Anyway I might pick up that pt t350HD from the guy that posted in my wtb thread. it's a 3.94 with the .72 final. 50 miles on it and it was yanked from the car to convert it to electric... not an .81, but I don't think it'd be bad actually. I'll prob still have you keep an eye out for the axle(s)?, cables, master cylinder, etc to get the swap done since I'm sure you can find the shit cheaper.

obx modding sounds good. :smile:

yeah 01-04 mag motors have the t350 hd 3.94 .81. from 02 on they came factory with diff pin savers. while 01s did not. and they are all hydraulic clutch bell-housing. which i why i put a 1gn cable bellhousing on the 2gn trans..

but that pt trans should be good for you even with the .72 5th gear youll rev a lil lower on the highway in 5th then i will..

got my energy race inserts installed last nigh.. holy vibration.. lol.. i knew they would be crazy but damn.. also relized how bad the old mounts where.. the motor sits up higher in the bay now since theres no sag and throttle response is so much better.. puts that power down.. now i have to cut some bracing out on the hood to let the hood sit down flush, and i havet o let my ocd of noises inside the car go.. cause now everything rattles with the mounts and balance shafts deleted.. cant wait for cams. :shock: lmao..

Ummm yeah it wont be silver.. this is my only detail.. lexus starfire pearl with black roof.. thats the paint combo in mind..

But yes it will be clean and oem+ as fuck..

btw her car is in a stock trading in mode but that aint happening so its back to modded too. lol

hahahah keeping the coupe.. wife wants me to finish this car and do it up like i wanted to originally.. she wants to see and so do i me finally finish one project car completely before i move on.. so there no and, or's, if's, about it.. plus she thinks im bored with the car since its automatic.

last nigth i met up with the guy who has my old red coupe.. (neonr/t1998).. shes been 2.4 swapped, 3.94 acr trans, crane 12's, crane cam gears, afx ecu, acr wheels, st suspension sway bars, eibachs out back cut coils up front, full dark gray interior, strut bar, ect.. pretty sick..

Its my old red coupe (julie as i called her) with my green coupe.. Whcih my fender looks soo bad in the shot

Last part is winter time car gets stripped out, redoing it all.. Shaving the bay, notching/cutting and setting the front up to sit low as possible. Re painting the whole car. Not sure on paint color yet. Gunna order victors tension arm setup as well. A buddy of mine has spc adjustable rear arms that i keep bugging for too. Basically the car is going all out, balls to the wall..

hoping for next spring and show season to be ready and all complete. Main goal is carlilse or bust..

Well i was going all motor 2.4 but after i sat down and thought about the cost of it, i.t.b's and ms3.57 setup with lc1 wideband.. i said f that and went on a search for a wrecked srt-4 again.. It my final choice.. i cant pass up the power and being able to use the drive line, big brakes,gauge cluster,ect and have a complete srt-4 swap into a 1gn shell.. Then sell off the parts i dont use, extra stuff i have, sell off my old 2.4 and 3.94hd trans setup and make some of that money back to pay for the car cost and maybe some toys for the 2.4T


But as of right now.. i have my 2gn 3.94 .81 hd trans going to the local shop to have the bearings, races, axle seals, phantom grip lsd installed and ready for me to put in the car (rather have a pro do it and for the price hes giving me.. cant pass it up). Im placing my order for an amm 90 less intake this weekend.. I have a 58mm t.b sitting here along with my ported dohc upper, mopar ecu, new oil pan gasket, rear main seal, srt shifter on a 1gn base, new oe clutch, red boogers, srt pedal covers, 2gn console, 2gn ebrake, pt power steering bracket, sport coupe steering rack (yes im going back to having pw steering) and all the 5spd swap parts i need..

and like i said

well tomorrow my 1gn/2gn 3.94 trans goes to the shop to have its new bearings, races, axle seals put in along with shimming the diff. I got my Phantom grip lsd kit today.. putting in at work tomorrow during lunch. Also got all of my mtx swap parts finally. picked up an acr 16.1 steering rack with the mtx subframe sunday.. also pulled a couple of pt pw steering brackets too incase they break.. putting pw steering back in.

hoping to do the swap this weekend the 17-19th.. should have everything. mopar mtx ecu, boogers, srt-4 shifter on 1gn base, mtx subframe, shifter cables, pedal assembly, clutch cable, neutral safety switch, new oe clutch, 2gn 3.94 .81 5th gear trans with the p.g lsd mounted on a 1gn bellhousing and mtx axles.. should be set correct.. nothing missing in that list that i saw

I'm still waiting on my trans to get back from the shop. so i cleaned up my mtx subframe and acr 16.1 steering rack. threw a lil paint on them and then installed my new tie rod ends. also modded my 1gn pedals so i could fit the srt pedals on them. everything is waiting, ready go.. other then the trans..

anyways here the rack/subframe all cleaned up.

Ok guys alot has happened since i last posted.. The car is finally 5spd swapped and im loving it. Deff made the car a joy to drive now. Anyways heres a run down of what ive done to it lately. I also played with some of the 3m di-noc carbon fiber wrap stuff.. its amazing. did a buddies 350z roof and front splitter in it along with my b pillars and 2gn arm rest.

Did all of this in a day basically.. started sunday at 10am, stoped at 12 to 1. then at 4 to pick up the wife from work and eat. came back was missign a few parts.. so then monday morning i grabbed the parts in 30 mins.. went to work. finished it all up and drove it home that night.. so after work started at 5 and was home by 9 and that was driving around testing it out.. lol

3.94 .81 2gn r/t trans mated to a 1gn bellhousing
new axle bearings, races and axle seals
Phantom grip lsd kit
Booger bushings
Srt-4 shifter mated to a 1gn base
New oe style 2.0 clutch
dohc rocks booble strut mod
mopar ecu
2gn e brake handle swap, 2gn center console swap
Modified 1gn pedal assemblies with srt-4 pedals
new oil pand gasket and used oil pan(was leaking)
New rear main seal
New ball joints
New tie rods
Race mounts
Acr 16.1 steering rack
Power steering added back in
Iceman intake
Wrapped b pillars and 2gn arm rest cover in 3m di-noc carbon fiber

Won a Kirk long tube on ebay and i got crane springs from an acr at the local u pull it whos car i knew it used to be.. just need an amm box and some cams to go with the kirk and springs.

Gunna clean it up tomorrow after work and take pictures of the current engine bay shot and such

lil run to 70 spinning first and a lil of 2nd in the rain.. i was light on the throttle leaving 1st and 1/2 pedal beg of 2nd then i got on it. not to bad..hooks better in the dry but still rips tires

I can see your lsd not working long because once the phantom grip wears enough off the gears they will not lock and just spin.
