If you have an 01/02 it will be different according to all the parts dealers and what I have seen on my car. what the manual says I have is coming up for the 01/02. 2 sensors with 4 wires. Mine is 1 sensor with 2 wires. I will take a pic first thing tomorrow.

Hmmm, I pulled those pics/diagrams from the '04 FSM. IDK how an up stop switch could function being mounted at the bottom of travel. I know the up stop is hard to see. When I changed my brake booster, I thought "Damn that thing would be a PITA to replace".

Here are some pics of under the pedals. The first pic you can see the plug and sensor. Which is the nuetral safety switch. It has two wires coming from the sensor and 3wires going out of the plug.

second pic is behind the brake pedal.

here are some more pics of where the service manual says my upstop switch should be. I reached up there with my fingers and its just an empty plastic whole.lol. Im really starting to wonder if maybe I just dont have one period. Also if I order one for a 01/02 neon would it hurt the computer and would it work? I tested the new switch That I originally ordered and it does the same thing as the switch that is in the car. Any help would be great. Thanks

Its right at the top of the pedal.

I went to the dealer and confirmed that my car doesn't come with an upstop switch like the manual is saying. My question is can I install one from a neon or another car. If so how would I wire it?

The switch needs 12v ref., when its pushed in it grounds out and goes to zero. Would I be able to run a wire from the + of the battery to the switch or 12v from the fuse box? Am I thinking of this right?

If that's the case, you'll ground the one wire, then add a current limiting resistor to the other wire, and tap into a switched DC source. You could find one in your steering column or fuse box. The wiper circuit post fuse might be good to use. Then tap your WOT Box signal wire between the resistor and switch.

So I ordered a srt upstop switch from rockauto.com . I'm gonna try using that tomorrow to see if it works. Anyone know if anything bad could happen if I plug that in? (my car doesnt come with it originally) Its the same plug but I wanna make sure I don't fry anything in the computer or burn out any other circuits. I don't see how it could but then again im no expert.

Finally have a verdict on the 2step/wot box. I went and ordered a upstop/interlock switch for a 2004 srt4. It plugged right in and worked. I have to fully install it which consist of ripping my pedals out to get to it. But if you have a 03-05 regular neon without an upstop switch you can order one from rockauto.com for $28plus shipping to solve your problem.

I had the 2step going then a check engine light popped on but I think that is because I still have the cat on the car.

It's probably from the multiple mis-fire, and running rich.

Can anyone help me with removing my pedals? I unbolted them completely. I got them past the steering column. The arm to the brake boost seems to be in the way. My brother and I are in a debate, He thinks we should unbolt the rod that goes through the top of the cage and I think we should remove all the brackets out of the way under the hood to move the booster out farther. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

Anybody? I read through the manual and it doesn't really help much. I keep getting stuck on the brake booster arm. Maybe even point me in the right direction? I tried multiple searches on here and haven't found anything. Thanks
