NYG & Me

I don't get it, but a lot of you really like the nyg's, so now I always keep my eyes open for them. Today I spotted one in Advance Auto's parking lot so I pulled up and took some quick pics. It was pretty clean except a little bit of rust. I think it belongs to the girl that works there. Also, it has some odd thin wing molded into the trunk lid pretty seamlessly.

Don't judge my car, it's in the middle of a facelift.

Sorry it was such a shitty pic of her wing...

I don't think it's so much that people love NYG, it's that it is a rare color. Of the millions of Neons built there are only a couple thousand NYGs

Damn uriah your car has come along way, I was going to ask you what your car was looking like now a days. As said in the post above some color matching of the trunk would make it look even better. Oh and nice NYG

My car is becoming all black this weekend. However, as much as I love the look of the r/t wing, I'm replacing it with a pvo as soon as I can find a black wingless trunk.

I thought the nyg would get all the attention, damn.

Looks good man! I have a black wingless trunk off of my girlfriends car and I know she'd love the wing on her car. Does it matter if the trunk will need repainted? I know you're getting the whole car repainted, so I figured i'd ask. Whoever repainted the car before, painted right over the badges so there's a lip up to the badges... Let me know!

Bumper strips were painted on the NYG's. Probably a sport sedan.

Thanks anyway, man. I'm looking for a factory painted one to save a few bucks, but thanks again. If it were factory, I'd be heading out there to swap with you.

Man, I thought so long about being the only forrest green srt-4 body out there, but I decided to stick with black since I originally decided to do the whole facelift because I was tired of having a green car (this is my third green car in a total of four, I now hate green cars). Though I think it would look neat, black looks sexier and sportier.

I still think the green would look sexier, someone painted an SRT a dark forest green and it looked sexy.

I loved the NYG color but, since it was late availability, my 1GN was Brilliant Blue instead. That is an interesting spoiler, never seen one like that.

I see that some of Adam's Honda rust has made it's way to this NYG.

Lots of 95's get cursed with rust like that.

^^Yeah, that was the reason for my trading in my '95 for my first 2GN (2002). The bottom seams on all four doors and the seams on the hood and trunk all started to rust (I didn't Ziebart it and it wasn't always garaged). Otherwise, I might still be driving it (if I could have avoided the illegal alien who totaled what I was driving on 11/3/03).
