Depending on how this year pans out (my lease is up next july) i may be moving back to PA. A lot of factors go into this decision though. We'll see how things turn out, but i'm DEFINITELY going to carlisle next year. I have parents that live just outside of Mount Holly Springs.r/tguy02 wrote:really... that school is like 10min from where i live lol i knew a bunch of people that went there back in the day. nice to see someone else from the area.TheFrette87 wrote:Like i said, i haven't done RECONSTRUCTIVE bodywork since i went to Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech back in 10th and 11th grade (Yes, I'm a Pennsylvanian, too! )

i myself do not have a frame machine either. mine is being done the old fashion way ( with a big ass tractor)TheFrette87 wrote:Thanks for dumbing it down a for melol
I've read your thread start-finish beforehand and read that you drilled the spot-welds, i knew i had to do that much, but at the same time you answered the rest of my questions.![]()
There's no way i can straighten the frame rails and piece in front of the strut without A) a larger tree than what I've got at my apartment and B) at least a vehicle with more power than my SXT or my friends scion can manage ATM. Or I'll have to get a way to throw it up on the frame machine at my dads work. (If i'm lucky, a saturday)
Like i said, i haven't done RECONSTRUCTIVE bodywork since i went to Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech back in 10th and 11th grade (Yes, I'm a Pennsylvanian, too! )
Thanks for the info though, i'll be keeping an eye on your thread. I cant wait to see how she looks when she's complete!
there are alot of tools that can be used to straighten/ help straighten your vehicle.(but that scion aint gonna cut it

that bar sounds like something i would need. pending today's events, i'll probably get my father to put it up on the frame machine at work. shouldnt take too long.there are alot of tools that can be used to straighten/ help straighten your vehicle.(but that scion aint gonna cut it) i myself have a bar that connects to the frame rails and as you tighten it, it pulls the bent framerail back into place
if you move up here i could lend a hand

Any chance they have another front clip there? Around here they want $300 from a U-Pull-It lot for bare-bones, like what you got. Not to mention the FOUR i found, two in each lot, both the salvageable front ends were from '02 or before.. It'd be cheaper for me to get one from donawitz (if its $150XxWhiteNeonxX wrote:i got it at a junkyard ( donawitz) i paid 150 for the whole front.(middle of the struts back)TheFrette87 wrote:Looks like i'll be needing a front clip for my rebuild...how much did you buy yours for and where did you get it?

You aren't putting those on stock struts, are ya?
One thing I learned from my lowering experience is do it right the first time, and you'll save yourself time and headaches...Mine's lowered on stockies, and every day i drive it i wish i had bought replacements before doing all the work...
My struts are blown now and I'm gonna have to redo it all.
