Maybe my SXT just wants to be a noisy bitch then. I did, however, have about 63k on the struts BEFORE i dropped them, Maybe thats the reason? It got a total drop of 1.8" in all four corners..i've tried filling my strut mounts, that failed, i bought new ones, and filled them before installing, and that failed as well. They're not exactly top dollar springs though, i went cheap (Ebay), and because of that, problems i shall have i suppose.

if your car is noisy i would lean towards the strut mount not the strutTheFrette87 wrote:Maybe my SXT just wants to be a noisy bitch then. springs binding maybe? wheel/tire combo too big and rub ?TheFrette87 wrote:i have, twice, and failed, twice. I'm thinking possibly the springs are wide, and might be hitting the tire well instead of the strut mounts being the culprit, will check for clearance issues when i get a chance.
srt springs?

ya and you better pray you dont get pulled overTheFrette87 wrote:The tree's in my apt complex would basically uproot trying to pull on them with just the neon. Haha. Teeny little things. I'm wondering if cement posts would do the trick. We have quite a few of them at work. If it'd make it that far without overheating since there's no rad.

but, when you have a clean unwrecked neon beside you to take measurements off of things get easier..TheRandom1 wrote:I'll take that bet since frame machines are calibrated to pull precisely and a tree is... well, a tree.

The measurements aren't the problem, anybody can get those. It's the precise pull that's the problem. How are you going to pull just the corner to pop it back into place without going too far if you're using a tree?
This is all assuming you're not doing any damage to the tree, of course, which is nearly impossible.

Looking at the car isn't the proper way to judge, driving the car is. And if your front end is not repaired properly, well, get ready to slam that mofo into a tree because you'll never get it aligned properly/get the body panels to fit, etc.
And uh... trees are the main source of air on this planet, so you should really think a bit higher of them. Unless you don't need to breathe?
