2.4 to 2.4T eh? You must not have a 2gn Neon...

1gn? Stratus? :)

Whoa calm down there, heard you the first time

Not much to it: pull the old one out, put the new one in, reconnect everything, etc. What questions do you have?

I haven't done a swap personally, but from what I'm told they're very easy in these chassis. Which comes as no surprise since these cars cake to work on, pretty much from top to bottom. You can probably do it in a day with help.

If you're in any way worried about your ability to do the internal work, I'd recommend leaving it to a pro. Do it right the first time.

There are a lot of tools that you will need to properly rebuild the engine that you almost certainly won't have lying around the garage. Or have you made arrangements already?

What kind of problems are you worried about? If you can find a decent long block there is no need for a rebuild, but you can always take care of general maintenance like timing belt, water pump, hell even changing your clutch out then is a good idea. The swap takes about a day if you know what you are doing and have a few friends who can help.

im not really worried about puttin the motor in as much as im worried about forgetting something when puttin the motor back together or not tightening everything good enough.

Main thing is one step at a time do 3 steps and double check yourself it seems overwhelming but break it down into steps and set mabe 2-3 days aside for any random issues

Dude, I live 2 towns away from you. You should look into attending a few of the ECN meets when it's up and running again.
