Where the Hell is the fuse that controls the brake lights? The problem I am having is that after the Megasquirt Install, all of a sudden my brake lights do not want to work, and they were working fine before the install, (which was about 24 hours ago) any ideas on why my brake lights don't work, Could the switch have gone bad? People have told me to check the fuse, but I don't even have a clue on what fuse controls the brake lights. My headlights/Parking all work, but all of the brake lights do not. Please Help

lol yea I do, I just didn't know which one it was because on the Panel on the interior I didn't see one that said " 10A Brake Light" or something along those lines, I wasn't sure if it was on the PDC or the panel on the interior.
Ok I'll have to check once day breaks again but I will check. Thanks !Zerochad wrote:I can't remember if its in the PDC under the hood or the fuse panel by the driver's door. Either way, both of the doors have a listing to what the fuses are for....lemme check the FSM.
Looks like fuse 23 in the PDC.

brake light fuse
the brake lamp fuse is in the pdc under the hood near the middle of the panel beside the starter relay.

The diagram shows fuse 23 going to the BLS (8w10-27).
Should be a Pink/Dark Blue wire, and a White/Tan wire to the brake lamps. Pin 1 and 2 respectively.
The DB/RD wire (pin 3) goes to the speed control servo, the YL/RD (pin 4)goes to the PCM supply voltage.
What you may be missing is the wire in pin 6 WT/PK. It goes to C3 pin 23 in the oem PCM Brake switch signal. It connects pin 5 black wire to splice S112, I am assuming is a ground. How this would affect the actual lights, IDK. (8w30-37)
when I get home, I can host these pics. I am mainly noting the sheet numbers, so I can find them later. If you have access toan FSM those are the pages. The CHMBL is the only light that is directly connected to the brake light switch. The two main brake lights are routed through the MFS switch.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
