So Im assuming when I finally find an 03+ engine harness that it is a single plug???

Also I dont have a clutch safety switch in my car. Will this come as part of the engine harness as well? I have'nt been able to find one local. Thanks

Clutch safety switch would be part of the under dash harness. The engine bay harness should have it wired up to the bulkhead connector tho. Whether or not it is wired from the firewall in, is another matter. That was the one section missing when I installed Speed Control. The internal wire from the engine bay connector to the steering column was not there. All else was. You might be lucky, might not.

By single plug, do you mean at the firewall? Then yes. AFAIK. It is on pre '03 anyways.

I meant on the ECU but I think I have an idea which plug is what now. I know on the 02 I took a look at the safety switch was part of the harness that ran through the firewall. Not sure how its setup on the 03+. Ill have to keep digging.

Ok so I received my 04 r/t harness now I see that when I swap over to the ATX trans I assume the plug will just hang there as it taps into the LARGE harness that goes into the under hood fuse box. What would "That" Harness be called as my fuse box has a few pieces missing on the bottom.

Oredered ASP Custom Hydaulic Clutch Kit to get rid of the Plastic setup so that should be here soon.

AllI need now is my PT Clutch and a few odds and ends and we are goldoen. The suspense is killing me.

Ok just curious...as the time approaches that I can actually get this swap done....Im curious about swapping the computers... Now will it just be a matter of getting the cars vin reprogrammed at the dealer to the new computer or is it a bigger deal than that such as changing the skim module around the steering column

.. Its an 05 computer if it matters. Thanks

I only grabbed the cpu from the donor car at the yard...my car is an 05 atx at the moment and already has a skim key..im hoping i can drive the car to the dealership with the atx tranny temporarily hooked up and swap them once i get there..im hoping its only a matter of programing the mtx to my car....

You could drive your car there, swap in the MTX PCM, have them Flash your SKIM/VIN to it, remove it re install the original PCM, and drive home. The MTX PCM should then be ready to go, once you swap.

I would definitely ask them for sure, when you schedule it.

drive to the dealer on your stock pcm, once into the parking lot swap out the old pcm for the new one and have them reprogram it with your skim. There is a how to in the "How to" forum on the procedure so you can print it out incase the tech does not know how to do this....

The only thing I can see with swapping PCM's in the parking lot, is they will have to push your car into the service area, and possibly maneuver it into a bay. I'm sure they could do it in the parking lot with the DRB, but again, it depends on the dealer. I'm sure it isn't going to be until "warmer" weather anyways.

If it's the big bracket I'm thinking of underneath the car... no. I don't believe it's going to make a difference. Over-engineering.

that'll work fine. You'll just have an extra plug for the tuning valve in the intake manifold.. Handy if you ever bolt one on, or if you already have one.

well thats part of the engine harness... this is the harness for the PDC or the under hood fusebox that runs from the computer all the way through the firewall

Should be fine.

The MTV relay circuit should never be powered, as the SXT PCM does not have that programed in.

If you wanted to use the MTV motor connector for something else, the signal wire to the relay coil could be cut on the underside of the PDC, and wired to a switch.

You could cut it anywhere, but under there is out of sight, and keeps it clean looking.
