2.0 turbo?

My friend is giving me a full 2.0 turbo setup. Can anyone give me any info on what all I'll need that won't be included? My car is auto, and has almost 80000 miles on it. Will it be a waste to install this kit?[/url]

I thought the car was falling apart, yanno, with the trans?

i forgot about that, i would spend the money on a new trans or a trans rebuild or a trans swap, basically anything to help the situation of your trans and overheated engine before i would turbo it. it can cause more damage adding a turbo right now, especially if you cut corners on it like i'm getting the impression that you will.

^ You got it. Idk what his bud has for a "bolt-on turbo kit" but it'll cost him more than he wants to spend still, even with it being donated...so in order to keep it "free" he'll ehm cut corners. Gnarly trans + haggard boost kit = failure.

alright well im looking at getting a turbo for my 2.0L manual trans. and as far as i know its just the turbo itself. so i need to know what this will cost me to do.

I was being sarcastic... It's going to cost quite a bit. We don't know what you need, because we don't know what all you have.

bigger injectors, intercooler, piping, rrfpr, etc... search some.

There's no real way to answer the how much its going to cost to turbo ur car cause it all depends on your goals. Some have done it for like 2k. The end.

not so much the turbo but the engine management is what will cause you to fail the test.

well theres alot of tuning involved. Not to mention im well over the price of a stock srt and im not to the power OR reliability however my versatility is definatly up there. Ide rather have an srt for what I blew on my se, (around 13k including the car). I could have a nice setup.

So ya, just dont freakin do it. I wish i woulda listened to people that said "just buy an srt".

plus I still get bog and no fuel under 2k. so that sucks. I dont know what the f*** the problem is either.
