I wanted to trade my SRT wheels for something else...
But everyone else was smarter than me and told me to buy some wheels and tires and then sell the SRTs afterwards.
Doh.

SO!
I totally scrounged around Craigslist, looking up all sorts of naughty things. Do you have any idea what you can find when searching for "16 inch 5 lub"?

Found these. Super sexy time, right?
They come off the Wolfsburg Edition Jetta. 2001-2003 I think...

ANYWAYS!
They're 16"x6.5" with a 42 offset. 2 piece wheels. They come with original tires(205/55/16) with about 30K miles of use. From the pictures, they still look like they have plenty of tread left.

Gonna check 'em out tomorrow after work.
Hopefully they're not a waste of my time...

Yes, they will fit and perfectly. The jetta have the same lug pattern 5x100 and the same center bore of 57.1 mm. My only concern would be offset, but IIRC they are 40mm not 42mm

Anything about 35mm is going to fit like stock anyway. Do it dude!

I think the tires are going to be too tall unless you're running SRT struts. a 205/55 is really pushing it

Running 205/50/17s right now with no problems...wouldn't 205/55/16s equal out? More rubber, but less wheel?

Anyways...got 'em for $350

2 good tires.
2 meh tires.
There's alot of grease around the inside of the barrels from the hydraulics the guy had on the car.
I'll spend Thursday or Friday cleaning them up.
Then i'll get some pictures of 'em on Blackula, this weekend.

Mmmm new wheels and tires. Means I can tear mine up, now!

I've been holding on off pictures, cause my car is dirty. And it's been storming lately, so i'm afraid of washing it. I know as soon as I do, it's going to rain two days later.

But...I suppose I can take pictures tomorrow...then better ones later after I wash it.
