How to wire fog lights?

Post by HazmatJeff » Thu Aug 26, 2010 8:41 pm

My car is set up for fog lights and has the cut outs in the bumper, and even the light on the dash comes on.

So if I had halo fog lights, how would I wire them up? There's no sign of anywhere to hook them up to, so that's why I'm asking.

If it has the MFS with the fog switch, and the light in the cluster is lit when it is turned on, there should be some connectors near the bumper cut outs, unless a previous owner cut them out along with removing the fogs. Or possibly someone installed the MFS with fogs, and the cluster is just picking it up.

You may only have this part of the wiring:

The rest might be there tho.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to check tomorrow for any sign of wiring, and if not see what needs to be replaced.
