For the motor mount, I took an angle grinder and cut off the majority of the piece sticking out (I think its functionality goes out the window when you put motor mount inserts in anyways), then ground the rest of it down until it was flush with the rest using a very course pad on my buffer.

Once I had it relatively smooth I went over the outside from 100 - 320 grit sandpaper to clean it up.

Then I put some rubbing compound on it and buffed it with a wool pad, then repeated with a coat of wax. done deal!

Thanks guys!

^ haha yes that would be me

timeslips - yessir, that was actually my first time running the car, my best two for the evening:

60ft: 2.3878
1/4 mile: 16.1192
MPH: 86.32

60ft: 2.4231
1/4 mile: 16.0754
MPH: 86.57

I was just starting to get my launches dialed in, I'm confident I can break into the high 15's by launching around 4500+ vs. 3500ish, setting my secondaries to open around 4800rpm vs. 5100 now, running ~22psi vs. 26psi. If my stock rims didn't have studded tires on them I'd run them, the 18's can't be helping haha.

not bad for a first time, launching higher isnt going to help anything, you need some DR's. you should program your secondaries to open at 5K, thats when they were designed to open and provides the best performance.
Good job! :)

Spinning is good to a point. The only way to know if launching higher will hurt your time is to try it.
