HVAC question!
Ok so of course it's raining today, so i had the windows up with just some fresh cool air blowing in the car through the vents! When my windows started to fog up i just kicked it down to the defrost panels and my car bogged down like the AC kicked on... and of course it was blowing ICE COLD! Is this normal? I've had many other vehicles including 3 other neons (2 1stgens and 1 2nd gen) and none of them have ever done that! What could the problem be? Also my vent positioner (where you select where the air blows) is messed up... When i have it on feet, it blows through the panel vents (towards your face) and when i go right towards the defrost it goes through the vents it should, but on full defrost it still blows out of the feet a little bit. Car runs decent, but i think it should be wearing a helmet and elbow/knee pads sometimes, hmm... maybe i'll paint it yellow like a short bus!

Ok then my car isn't quite so retarded... How about selecting where the air blows not being accurate? I've looked at different hvac's ppl have had for sale and even one at the auto parts store, and the plastic gear is in place correctly and doesn't look like it's slipped any...

The cable(s) might need adjusted. The clips that hold them aren't exactly in a user friendly location either, so it might take a couple tries to get the cable in the right spot.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

or you could drill one of the contacts on the switch to disable it. there is a how to kicking around here or the other .orgJenni wrote:you can disable the automatic AC - it's just a little metalclip to remove!
did it a while ago, love it, I can have clear windows and go up a hill without having to push it. and AC works just fine
