350Z exhaust rear section ??

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

I bet it would be worth paying the $40 for to find out.

For $40 I would try it. Always looking for a new look or just something different.

Might take some effort... but possible.

This style would be damn near bolt in. just the inlet would need tweaked.

Either way, at the prices of those, for $40 I would buy it just to turn a profit.

I'd give it a shot, but only because I can make stuff so I wouldn't have to have a shop do all the mock up work.

350Z rear section

Post by g_force58 » Sun Sep 19, 2010 3:33 pm

The magnaflow muffler you show is the same as on my car. Sounds good without being too loud, I installed a cherry bomb in front of it to take the crackle and backfire out of it. You can't really hear the muffler under power because the cai is so loud, but friends say it has a raspy but deep tone. It does however drone on the highway at cruise. I just turn the tunes off and listen to the sound, lol.

There was a video floating around on youtube a few years ago of a guy that did this, and it sounded terrible. Didn't look too bad, but it sounded gross. Much worse than the srt rear section on our cars.
