Anyone who has an ATX cooler in front of the condenser coils

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

Anyone who has an ATX cooler in front of the condenser coils

How did you run the lines from the area in front of the condenser to the transmission? On my '00 it seems like every good route is blocked by something. So before I go nuts and buy some brass right angle bulkhead fittings to run the lines though the core support am I missing the obvious route to send the hoses back to the transmission. I didnt want to run below the spash sheild if I can help it.

Actually running through the core support would be about the cleanest way to do it. Maybe not the easiest tho.

You could always use a knockout punch, and make some holes in the filler panel near the PCM area. Then put in rubber grommets to protect the lines.

You might find these at Home Depot, or Lowe's

Im with Bill on this one, I just used a step bit while I had my radiator out and wrapped the hose in wire loom where it went through anything.

I was gonna use a step bit and something like this to run though the core support with no chance of abrading though anything.

then use this to send it toward the cooler since it has to make that 90* turn.

and this to send it off to the transmission.

Then do all that again for the other line.

Seems like a lot of extra parts that really aren't necessary and usually are rather expensive. That will work however.

Yeh its extra parts but they dont make a barbed right angle bulkhead fitting that I can find. I have just had bad luck with grommets dry rotting out here in phoenix and finding out only when a line breaks or a wire shorts.
