Epoxy it and seal it shut. . . Otherwise slap some fabric or something over it, or do some deliberately gaudy stitching. You could always pay an upholstery shop too much money to fix it.

You could pull the plastic retainer loose on the bottom, and peel it back to the metal rib that is right at the tear. Then glue some strong fabric on the underside to hold it in place. Might not show too bad doing it that way. You may need to remove the seat to get to the retainer underneath. Just pull down and inward, and it should come off. Install is just stretch it back down and hook it back in place.
If you can get some pics of the bottom side, I can tell you if it is the same set up that I am thinking of.

of course it does. if you pay less, you get less. there's no way to fix that short of putting a new seat cover on it. otherwise just deal with it. it doesn't look too bad.

You can't see an ugly face while you're sitting on it, but you still know it's there.
Sorta ruins the mood.

I bought a set used that was in perfect shape and still are. The only ones I ever see rip... are ones that are owned by fat people. They sit on the bolsters and destroy them. fat people shouldn't be allowed to own nice things.

My seats never ripped either, even before I re-upholstered them. Serious rofl at the fat people comment.
But a local upholstery shop would be able to fix that for you so it would look brand new. They could replace that entire dark slate vinyl panel on the lower cushion and you'd never know it was done.

I don't mean to be rude... (but I don't mind being rude either), I'm just calling it as I see it. Fat people destroy these seats then bitch that they are junk.

In those cases, the doors literally bend out at the bottom. A relative literally bent the doors on her car, so the dome light wouldn't shut off. The switch was the type that the bottom of the door at the latch end pushed the pin in. We had to tape shims onto the pin.
Midsize/compact cars, and large ppl don't mix too well.
