DO follow the directions :D their easy and well mapped out,

DONT buy a pan gasket with your trans filter, or dont use the one that comes with it if it does, just use the one that came with the valve body.

The filter I bought came with a rubber pan gasket that I tried to use instead of the cork gasket that came with the valvebody, the rubber one was wrong, and the fluid draind out, had to buy more and drop the pan again :(

increase your line pressure by turning the hex bolt 2.5 times (clockwise) I did it 3.25 times and at slow speeds the 1st-2nd shift is real rough, it does however spin the tires between gears.

and only use ATX+3 or 4

Do get a tranny cooler, you'll regret it if you don't.

holy thread ressurection!... one thing ive never seen addressed in the valve body questions.., maybe i missed it.. but with the modern valve body it remains fully automatic, but firms up the shifts, meaning raising the rpm shiftpoint and eliminating the gear overlap?. wouldnt this be annoying for regular daily driving?. slamming into gear everytime it shifts?.
also, with the RMVB, when you shift it manually, is it a smooth shift?.. or again does it eliminate the overlap, and just throw you into gear hard?...

leaning torwards the fully auto one that modern has, but not if the ride sucks when puttin around town.

just a couple questions i havent specifically come across an answer to yet. thanx..

I read on the other org that the one on modern does what you said it does. But as for daily driving I heard its pretty ghetto since it takes every gear to a high rpm before shifting, so IDK if you are light on the throttle if that will change.. As for the Cheetah E-shift that thing is what you want. Its a clutchless shift and I heard its very smooth. Cheetah FTW! Be kind of stupid to get the one at modern IMO, won't be fun.

having both. They both shift hard. If you plan on putting around and don't like a nice solid shift don't get either. When your ATX goes into gear it goes into gear. Personally go with the RMVB then you can control when it shifts. The performance VB from Modern will shift hard while in a parking lot, cruising mildly, the only way you can keep it from shifting is to either put it in 1st or let off the throttle, it can get annoying getting that jerk at 1/4 throttle.

I am actually considering the RMVB again. I am just afraid it will be hard on the tranny, even though I have a tranny cooler. Especially knowing I can go to redline with the gears. I would tear my tranny up. Too tempting.

Actually the RMVB is easier on your tranny because it no longer overlaps gears and shifts instantly. I've had mine for over 3 years now and I have literally tried to kill it. Damn strong tranny, oh and I also have a B&M tranny cooler.

You can shift an automatic, but it ruins the transmission. the RMVB lets you do it without hurting anything.

He is wondering what kind of codes does it throw?
I know it throws codes , doesn't it? I am actually considering about buying this RMVB again. :)

Where exactly did you get yours? I know turboaction.com has one but you can't order from them, or can you?

You got under 100k? The tranny cooler and the RMVB will actually HELP your tranny. You can find a tranny cooler at any auto parts store. If they don't have it you can probably order one. They have em' on eBay I think. I would get you a link but I am too tired right now. They are like $40 too.
