best valve body?

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

to try to answer any more questions..yes u can downshift with it. Just be sure u don't downshift to 1st when ur going 70mph.. :)

And, i swapped mine out at about 50,000 miles or so, i think ur's will be fine at 78k...

OH, and i don't believe Moderns is the same as the Cheetah. Modern's is just a performance valve body. It doesn't let you shift as far as i know, it just firms up the shift points.

The RMVB does EVERYTHING u want... :) Now, stop reading and go buy one already! :)

If i remember right it ran about $190 shipped. Comes with new gasket and good install instructions.

I know how good this thing is, and I know that I want one already, but if you can ( you dont have to) maybe it would be helpful if you made a vid showcasing the RMVB, like downshifting, upshifting, etc....I mean, for some members it really doesent matter, but I like to see demo's of things before I buy them....If you dont want to and it's too much trouble, I understand...I want one already, but as soon as i can get the money, you know that Ill e geting one.....either way, thanks for the help!

as far as a video, if i knew how to take one, it'd already be on here. :)

Honestly, it's EXTREMELY easy. Basically, it's alot like a manual. U will hear the car get to a certain RPM and u'll basically just pull the shifter down to the next gear. U don't have to pull the button in to go to a higher gear. When you downshift u have to pull the button in and u basically just push it up into the lower gear.

As far as the direct site, you'll have to pick one closest to you and just call 'em and see if they have 'em. I THINK Summit racing actually carries them, you might want to try a search on their website.

ok, wait, actually reverse that. To upshift u have to pull the button, to downshift just push it forward.

I usually shift to 2nd at about 20-30mph if i'm crusing, and i usually downshift into 2nd only at 40mph and below..

it does, but it doesn't. It won't shift until u do it, but, there isn't a clutch to push in, so basically it's all up to your hand, and paying attention to when u need to shift.

I asked the dude from TurboAction when I called them up last year about gas mileage. He said that if you have a lead foot and are going to redline all the time then well duh your going to get bad gas mileage. But if you shift it like say your atx shifts it, then you should get the same gas mileage.

Go to turboaction.com get the number and call them. Install should be around 2 hours. So you take labor and you times the labor rate by 2 and there you gooooo.

I'll post a video of me shifting tomorrow or Thursday only thing is though my camera has no sound :( Let me know if you still want to see it, won't be as good cuz you can hear it hit the rev limit  . Also this is my quote from another thread. "Neonnytes wrote: I've got the Performance Valve body and I've been shifting from 2->D for 3 years now, no probs and I abuse the living shit out of it. You just need either the Performance or the Turbo Action RMVB. The reason you want the Turbo Action is because if you are not REALLY careful you can shift from 2 to N or worse R. It's safer to pull away from N and R With the Performance VB I'm not sure if it'd be safe to shift from 1-2 because I never have to with mine. I keep it in 2, stall TC, and let off the brake. 1st gear pulls all the way to the rev limit, hold 2 to rev limit and shift to D. Every shift jerks your freaking head back and the front of the car rises. Good mod to have. Like I said I've been manually shifting my VB for over 3 years now. No probs. DO NOT SHIFT A STOCK VB!! Line pressure is not high enough and it still has the ATX gear overlap, it will grind the fuck out of the gears if you do."

I post so much I forgot all about that. I'll get it up first chance I get. I just need to find someone to hold the camera. It's hard to go WOT, shift, keep your eyes on the road and use the camera too, all by your lonesome.
