security problem

ok so ever since i swapped my 2000 with 2004 srt4 everything. complete wiring included. i have never had a key fob to unlock it. today i found a key fob and alarm box in a 2002 rt and put it in my car and now the doors lock and unlock but the stock alarm wont set itself now

You should have just got a key fob from the dealer, and had it programmed to the SRT stuff. The RKE from the '02 is prolly not communicating with the SRT alarm. IDK if an already programmed key fob can be reprogrammed to a different car.
